Serving the Unique Needs of Richfield Residents

Richfield is the county seat of Sevier County and the commercial and healthcare hub for a largely rural stretch of central Utah spanning Sevier, Wayne, and Piute counties. The city has a population of about 8,268, with roughly 14.2% of residents aged 65 or older and another 18.6% between 45 and 64. That’s a significant portion of the community at or approaching the age when home medical equipment, mobility aids, and post-surgical recovery support start to matter.

Richfield sits along Interstate 70 and US Route 89, making it the regional center for a wide, sparsely populated mountain valley that extends well beyond city limits. Intermountain Health Sevier Valley Hospital at 1000 North Main Street is the only full-service hospital serving Sevier, Wayne, and Piute counties. The affiliated Sevier Valley Specialty Clinic on campus provides orthopedic surgery, general surgery, and urology services for the region. Patients recovering from those procedures, or anyone managing a chronic condition in a part of Utah where the next nearest medical supply store can be an hour or more away, need a reliable local resource. Alpine Home Medical serves Richfield and the surrounding communities of Salina, Gunnison, Manti, and the broader Sevier, Sanpete, and Piute county areas.

Frequently Asked Questions for Our Richfield Medical Supply Store

Do you deliver throughout Sevier County and surrounding areas?

Yes, we deliver all across Sevier County and the surrounding central Utah region, from Monroe and Salina to remote farms and ranches throughout the valley. Our delivery team knows the back roads and can find you whether you’re on a farm outside Glenwood or running a ranch operation near the mountains. We include full setup and instruction with every delivery, no matter how far out you are.

What insurance plans do you accept at your Richfield store?

We accept most major insurance plans including Medicare, Aetna, PEHP, Optum, Cigna, and many others. We also work with HSA and FSA cards for qualifying purchases. Our Richfield team can verify your specific coverage and help determine what’s covered before you make any purchases, so you’ll know exactly what your costs will be upfront.

How close are you to Sevier Valley Hospital?

We’re just a 3-minute drive from Sevier Valley Hospital, offering a convenient source of Richfield UT medical supplies for patients who are being discharged with equipment prescriptions. Many families stop by on their way home from the hospital to pick up CPAP machines, oxygen equipment, or mobility aids their doctors recommended.

Do you rent equipment for seasonal agricultural workers?

Absolutely. We understand that farming and ranching work can lead to injuries that need temporary equipment solutions. Whether you need crutches after a fall from farm equipment or a hospital bed while recovering from a back injury during harvest, we can set up short-term rentals that work with your seasonal schedule. We’ll coordinate with whatever insurance you have and help you get back to work safely.

Do you provide equipment for older folks who want to stay in their home?

Definitely. We work with many families where older generations want to keep living in their family home instead of moving to town or assisted living. Whether it’s mobility scooters for getting around the property, hospital beds for comfort, or oxygen equipment for health management, we can help set up solutions that let people maintain their independence while staying close to the places they’ve loved their whole lives.

What makes your Richfield store different from ordering medical equipment online?

When you order medical equipment online, you’re basically on your own to figure out if it’s the right fit, how to use it properly, and what to do if something goes wrong. At our Richfield store, you get to work with certified respiratory therapists and rehab technicians who can assess your specific needs, let you try equipment before you buy it, and teach you how to use everything safely. Plus, we handle all the insurance paperwork, provide local delivery and setup, and we’re right here in town if you need repairs or have questions later.
