Health needs aren’t always permanent, and that’s where our rental program comes in. At our Idaho store, you can arrange short-term rentals for equipment such as hospital beds, scooters, CPAP machines, and wheelchairs. Many customers use rentals during recovery or when short-term support is needed. Rentals can be set up weekly or monthly, and if you need more time, we make extending simple.

It’s not every day that you come across a company and a representative that truly embodies excellence, integrity, and compassion the way Jed from Alpine Home Medical does. I recently had the pleasure of sitting down with Jed for a detailed meeting as the new Territory Manager for Invacare, and I can confidently say it was one of the most inspiring and productive introductions I’ve had in this industry.

From the moment I walked in, Jed’s professionalism, warmth, and passion for helping people were immediately apparent. He’s not just an ATP—he’s a genuine advocate for individuals who rely on mobility and rehab equipment to live fuller, more independent lives. Throughout our meeting, Jed demonstrated an exceptional understanding of both the technical and human sides of this business. His ability to connect the dots between patient needs, clinical goals, and real-world solutions is truly top-tier.

What stood out most was how authentically he represented Alpine Home Medical. He embodies everything a great company should stand for—knowledge, empathy, innovation, and service. You can tell instantly that Alpine Home Medical is built on a culture of caring and professionalism, and Jed is one of the strongest examples of that mission in action. His attention to detail, genuine curiosity, and commitment to creating better outcomes for patients left a lasting impression on me both personally and professionally.

Our sit-down wasn’t just a meeting—it felt like the beginning of a meaningful, lifelong partnership. I’m genuinely looking forward to collaborating closely with Jed and the entire Alpine Home Medical team as we work together to serve our shared community. There’s something incredibly fulfilling about partnering with people who not only know their craft but also lead with heart, and that’s exactly what Jed and Alpine bring to the table.

As someone who has seen firsthand how mobility and accessibility products can change lives, I’m beyond excited about the future of this relationship. With Jed’s expertise, Alpine’s incredible service standards, and Invacare’s commitment to innovation, I’m confident that together we’ll make a lasting difference for people in need—helping them live better, more independent lives for many, many years to come.

Thank you, Jed, for the warm welcome, your professionalism, and for being such an outstanding representative of Alpine Home Medical. Here’s to a long, successful, and truly impactful partnership built on trust, shared passion, and a mutual goal of improving lives every single day.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do you deliver to rural areas outside Idaho Falls?

Absolutely. We deliver throughout eastern Idaho, from small farming communities to ranches that are 30 miles out of town. Our delivery team is used to finding places that might not show up on GPS, and we’ll coordinate with you on timing that works around your schedule. Whether you’re near Rigby, out toward Ashton, or anywhere in between, we’ll bring your equipment right to your door.

What insurance plans do you accept at your Idaho Falls store?

We accept most major insurance plans including Medicare, Aetna, PEHP, Optum, Cigna, and many others. We also work with HSA and FSA cards for qualifying purchases. Our Idaho Falls team can verify your specific coverage and help determine what’s covered before you make any purchases, so you’ll know exactly what to expect.

Do you rent equipment for seasonal agricultural workers?

Yes, we understand that harvest season and other agricultural work can lead to injuries that need temporary equipment. Whether you need crutches after a fall from a ladder or a knee scooter while your ankle heals, we can set up short-term rentals that match your recovery timeline. We’ll work with whatever insurance you have and help you get back to work as safely as possible.

How do you handle equipment repairs when we're far from town?

We know that when you’re living 45 minutes from the nearest town, a broken CPAP machine or mobility scooter isn’t just inconvenient – it can be a real problem. Our regional technicians can handle repairs on many items, and for urgent situations, we’ll arrange loaner equipment while we get yours fixed. We also teach you basic maintenance and troubleshooting so you can handle minor issues yourself.

What happens if my rental equipment breaks down on the weekend?

We have 24/7 support for urgent equipment issues, even on weekends. If your oxygen concentrator stops working or your hospital bed malfunctions, call us right away and we’ll get you sorted out. For less urgent issues, we’ll have someone out first thing Monday morning, but we never want you to go without essential equipment, especially when you’re far from immediate help.

Can you set up equipment for elderly parents who live alone in rural areas?

Definitely. We do a lot of setup visits for elderly folks who are living independently but need family members to coordinate their care. We’ll deliver equipment to their home, teach them how to use it properly, and make sure they’re comfortable before we leave. We can also coordinate with family members who might be managing things from a distance and provide ongoing support as needed.
