Job Summary

We’re looking for an energetic and professional Store Team Captain to lead and support our in-store team at Alpine Home Medical. In this role, you’ll guide day-to-day operations, provide training and support to team members, and ensure exceptional customer service. You’ll be the face of the store, assisting and educating customers, processing sales, setting up in-office PAP equipment, and delivering medical equipment with proper training in customers’ homes. This position requires strong leadership, proactive problem-solving, and a commitment to improving the lives of our customers by delivering the best service possible.

Experience Needed

  • One year of face-to-face retail customer support experience.
  • Great customer service skills, with the ability to quickly identify customer needs and provide effective solutions.
  • Ability to learn about the products and accessories the company carries and be able to educate and recommend products to customers to drive sales.
  • A polite, positive, and cooperative attitude, and willingness to be part of a team.
  • Computer literacy and the ability to handle different software and programs.
  • Superior communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • The ability to effectively handle multiple tasks with numerous interruptions is a must, while keeping a positive and friendly.
  • Attention to detail is a must.
  • Driving safely and defensively, making sure to obey all traffic laws
  • Active/valid driver’s license
  • A High School Diploma or a G.E.D.
  • Problem solving ability, analytical skills, self-motivation and able to work well in an office environment.
  • Previous DME experience is a plus.
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) – is a plus.

Responsibilities & Duties

  • Greeting and assisting all walk-in customers, as providing exceptional customer experience by ensuring the customer is always the priority.
  • Creating and fostering customer relationships to build trust and appropriate expectations, assisting with customer questions on medical billing and/or disputes.
  • Recommending products to customers that best meets their medical needs and closing sales.
  • Delivering and setting up home medical equipment, and picking up equipment in a timely manner
  • Answering incoming phone calls with an attentive, patient, and friendly demeanor.
  • Regular, dependable attendance and punctuality.
  • Perform other duties as deemed appropriate by management.
Physical Requirements:
  • Interact with others requiring the employee to communicate information.
  • Operate computers, and other office equipment requiring dexterity in fingers and hands for data entry and input tasks.
  • See and read computer monitors and documents.
  • Sit or stand for long periods of time to perform work on a computer, telephone, or other equipment.
  • Reaching, crouching, kneeling, and stooping
  • Frequently lift/move up to 65lbs
