Job Summary

Do you enjoy helping people?  Do you like making a difference in customer’s lives?  Well, this full-time role might be the ideal opportunity for you.  We are looking for someone that has exceptional people skills and has the ability to smile over-the-phone.  Here are some additional details of the position:  A CSR-Home Medical Equipment must be knowledgeable of all CPAP equipment and supplies provided by Alpine Home Medical and uphold its standard for excellence.  The ideal candidate in this position will be responsible to interact with customers who are currently on PAP or compression therapy, to provide the best service and supplies, and to assist in delivering the best therapy possible. The CSR must be quick & efficient in identifying customer needs and assess opportunities to provide other needed products in a win/win manner.  A CSR must be complete and efficient in performing all tasks relative to the job in a friendly, professional manner.  Responsible for knowledge of third party reimbursement schedules.

Experience Needed

  • Absolutely must have superior customer service skills over-the-phone with the ability to quickly identify customer needs and provide effective solutions using polished people skills.
  • Verification of medical insurance.
  • Process high volume of patient orders.
  • Investigation/review of pertinent medical documentation.
  • Ability to function as a polite and cooperative team member with a positive attitude.
  • Must be a self-starter and be able to work effectively with minimal supervision.
  • Must have effective computer skills and ability to multi-task.
  • Superior communication skills are required (Oral and written).
  • Attention to detail on data entry.
  • Ability to effectively handle multiple tasks with numerous interruptions is a must.
  • Must display a “can do” attitude and the ability to “smile” over the phone in all customer interactions.
  • Prior experience in HME industry is a plus; though not required
  • Prior experience with medical insurance providers is also a plus; though not required
  • Bilingual (Spanish/English) is a plus.

 

Responsibilities & Duties

  • Professionally assist customers over-the-phone; handle high volume of emails & phone calls.
  • Must be able to readily identify customer needs and process orders accurately, build and foster positive customer relationships, and provide solutions to customers.
  • Responds appropriately and accurately to customer questions and concerns with superior customer service skills.
  • Contact existing patients who are currently on PAP therapy regarding product usage and compliance; evaluate customer’s needs and provide solutions.
  • Maintain open communications with customers and referral sources.
  • Responds to customer inquiries, questions and concerns.
  • Prepare appropriate documentation for billing
  • Key all documentation; verify all information for completeness and accuracy.
  • Be familiar with order confirmation process
  • Performs other duties as deemed appropriate by management.
